She grew up in California, moved to the Netherlands after college and ended up staying there for 30 years, raising 2 kids with her husband Rob.
She's written hundreds of songs in Dutch and English, both for children and adults.
She is a total lyric nerd and can talk about structure and flow for hours.
She started piano lessons at age 7 and by 15 she was playing keyboards in bands.
Her parents, now in their 80's perform locally in a ukelele band
She was awarded a gold record in 2000 for writing music and lyrics for vocal group Avalon.
