Josh Rosenblum Wins Biggest Award of the Night With “Best Album”
at New Times Music Awards
With his latest release, Love Letter, Josh wrote every song with music, played all instruments, produced, engineered & mastered the album to award-winning recognition.
(San Luis Obispo, CA, November 3, 2023 ) – The 15th Annual New Times Music Awards was held Friday night November 3, at the SLO Brew Rock live music venue in San Luis Obispo. The annual New Times Music Awards are designed to showcase music and songwriting from local musicians throughout the Central Coast of California in a wide variety of genres including Rock/Alternative, Country/Americana/Folk, Hip-Hop, R&B/Blues, Open and Youth.
Unlike many local “Best of” awards conducted through local entertainment papers, the NTMAs are decided by an anonymous jury of local music professionals including media, event promoters, music producers, engineers and artists, and not voted on in an open fan vote selection process. One award, “Readers’ Choice” gives the fans the opportunity to pick their favorite.
In less than two years in the Central Coast music scene, Josh has amassed a consistent schedule of live music bookings, growing his audiences through his energetic live shows, trademarked with his exceptional vocal range, virtuosic guitar-playing and connective audience engagement. Originating from Modesto, CA where Josh was a well-known performer and event host, the Josh Rosenblum Band picked up three years of MAMAs (Modesto Area Music Awards) for Best Pop/Rock Band. Josh also placed 3rd this year at the NTMAs for Best Country/Americana/Folk song his song “Closure”.
Josh comments, “Winning this NTMA for Love Letter is especially gratifying because of what went into making it. We, as musicians, were grounded by the pandemic, trying to figure out how to keep our careers and sanity intact. I also was a new father, which made this time especially emotional. As a songwriter, I turned to creating and poured all the emotion into this album. I realized that gratitude was the only way out, so writing about my wife and son and the life we were building was both organic and cathartic.” Love Letter is Josh’s seventh studio album.4iokfcv
